Have the stage 2 torgue cam for now. I changed out my stock head pipes for some that I decatted a couple months ago. Now the bike runs a little rough. Backfiring every so often, and feels very anemic when twisting the throttle. Sometimes when cranking the bike, it sputters and backfires before it starts.
I ran one smart tune last sat and that seem to improve the sluggish feeling, but still isnt quite right. I guess I need to keep running some smart tunes to keep improving table cells?
When I rode the bike while recording data, I tried to follow each criteria as close as I could. Is there something specific I can do for the backfiring? Especially the misfires when first starting the bike when its cold.
Sounds like you need to start with a new base tune closer to your mods before you smart tune , seems you pretty far out of spec.
hmm hadn't thought of that other than I assumed given Im using the SE tuner, there were no base tunes for decatted headers. I had the stage 2 done back right after I bought the bike. Headers are the only thing I changed out.
There is very little performance change with decatted headers. So start out with the HD base tune.. In fact with my SE torque cams, SE Street Cannons, and SE open AC, the canned map with the SE street tuner is great.

Yeah that's what I thought too. But I assume I had the base stage 2 torque map installed when they did the work. Ran great until I changed the headers.
Will data be recorded on the SE tuner from just cranking the bike up? I mean if I have it in record mode of course. Like i said, it seems to spit and sputter when cold cranking the bike.

Yes. I never thought just decatting would make it run that much different. To confirm, I am running the mufflers with one DB reducer in...the right side. FM told me I would have to do that if I decatted. Its one or the other to keep from losing low end, but I've def noticed a drop in low end. Throughout the range truthfully.
