...2019 RGU, M8, 114ci, 23,000 total miles, 22,000 on SE8-462 cam. Talked to the dealer late yesterday, lifters (stock) gone bad, cam lobes delaminating(?) and the problems associated with those has caused her engine to die an early death. I use Amsoil exclusively so I doubt (sure hope) it isn’t an oil related issue.
I haven't seen the parts yet but I'll go by the shop this next week to photo them and see if they have determined the cause of the failure. Pretty damned frustrated as this is the second HD in 5 years to have lifter issues. And to top it all off, my dealer no longer has rentals and the closest HD rental dealer is 75+ miles away so I can't even get a bike to ride through ESP. I'll post the pics of the parts when I get them.
I was told to never use Amsoil in my bike for among other reasons: it would cause the roller lifters to slip (instead of roll) on the cam lobes... causing your issue. Something about that brand being too slippery. Good luck on getting it back on the road in a timely manner!
i'm at 15,000 now on my 2019. hope I don't have this to look forward to.
hope you're back on the road soon. under warranty?
Two weeks out of the factory warranty but because I did the mods at the dealer within the first 60 days the ESP will be covering it. Ironically, my 14 CVO Limited that went kablooie was three weeks out of the factory warranty!!
Frosting on HD cam lobes is common and HD will not warranty it. My 2017 at 40,000 showed the frosting When I was replacing cam and lifters. HD lifts are a hit and a moss not worth the risk My new 2020 has 1,500 miles on it when we get back from our TN trip in may it is getting an S&S cam and lifters. Screw HD and their warranty.
If nothing else Get rid of HD lifters.

Please explain the warranty issue. "Screw HD and their warranty."...that might work for you but it doesn't for me.
A major factor in my decision to do an aftermarket Stage 2 upgrade was to get those ticking time-bomb Harley lifters out of my engine, even though it meant losing some powertrain warranty
