Default 2017 M8 P0237 Knock Sensor

I had this code show up today. Dealer swapped out my rear tire. I got 5 miles up the road as I was running low on gas (20 miles left). It was a shell station. Threw in 89 because the next up was 94 and they wanted twice as much. Truth be told I've used this on and off over 3 years without issue. Called the dealer wondering if there was a potential sensor they forgot to reconnect. They didn't believe so. The sensor is "Knock Sensor Front Circuit Low". They THINK I may have gotten bad gas and caused a misfire. So the question is where I go from here. I had to ride 30 min home and saw no changes in how it rode on possibly "bad gas". Sensor won't reset manually either. Should I remove the gas, put in better gas, then see if it goes away first? Or just replace the sensor and call it a day? Or is there something more detrimental going on?

Try not to turn this into a gas type thread. Just want to sort out the issue.

Well obviously the bike does not like what you put in. Rather than drain I would lightly run that tank down and refill with a "quality" gas and see if the issue remains or clears up. Some codes are set by a momentary communication issue and not indicative of an actual problem.

I'm of the opposite train of thought. Empty the tank and burn the fuel in your cage. Fill up with some better stuff and see how it runs on that.

Put better octane gas and if the code doesn't go away, try resetting your ECM by disconnecting the positive pole of your battery for a minute and reconnecting it back on.

Worked on the bike today and fixed it. Emptied the tank, pulled the battery positive and reconnected, added new fuel, turned it over and the code remained. Thought maybe the old fuel was still in the system. But before I ride it, I manually attempted to clear the code on the handlebars. Cleared out and all done. Appreciate the tips all.
