The KW header is as good as any.
I would stick with the compete system since their R&D is done with their head pipe and mufflers.
Just toss on a set of headers hoping or assuming they might be better is not best way IMHO,
Bob

I'm running the full KW duals with crossover and slip on with the quiet baffle. The baffle is opened about 1/2 an inch on each. Heat is gone, sounds great and runs great. I'd go with a matched system.

Just put the KW M8 2/2 full system on my Ultra. Performance (quiet) Baffle. Bike runs and sounds great. No real difference in performance from the D&D Billet Cat I ditched.

KW makes two headers, one is called hideaway header I believe and it retains the stock heat shields. The other is the full 2-2 performance system with H collector. I’m running this system on my 128 and I love it.

Yes, IME the KW with its H collector system works better than most other “connected” duals and at noticeably better than the fatcat type 2:1 below 2500 without giving up anything to the 2:1 up top.
Actually surprised as a tuner to see a set of duals actually work as good or better than the industry assumed std 2:1 design.
Virtually all dual systems with a connection between the 2 pipes work better than the literal tru-duals where the front pipe is sometimes more than 2 feet longer than the rear pipe without any way to equalize the exhaust pressure between the 2 cylinders.
Enjoy,
Bob

Khrome werks 2-2 review - Harley Davidson Forums (hdforums.com)

See my the last post on that thread. Spoke to KW today.
You'll see the info but I am swapping from KW slip-ons to their full exhaust.
Though if I wanted to retain the KW slip-ons, I would look at Full Sac since Moonshine Harley has many nice dyno's (and videos) with that combo and endorse it.
