I pulled the transmission and all of the gears looked good, so I installed a new inner clutch hub and that eliminated the wobble in the clutch basket! I'm ecstatic that it wasn't anything worse and I didn't have to pony up a lot of money to fix it. Here's a short video of it all buttoned up and the AIM/FM VP SDR in action.

@$tonecold , I did not install a new main shaft as it appeared that the teeth on the inner clutch hub were worn down, and not the splines on the main shaft. I checked the main shaft run out, which was difficult to measure due to the splines and threads, but was able to get a .003" reading when i placed the dial indicator in the groove between the splines and threads. My dial indicator didn't show any runout when I placed it on the inner primary bearing race. i did, however, replace the IPB & race and clutch bearing in an abundance of caution.

Well I was just going by what you said in your first few posts. I don't think I saw anything about the clutch splines being worn and not the mainshaft. It sounds like you did your due diligence, so hopefully you will have many trouble free miles. Glad you dodged the bullet.

I admittedly jumped to conclusion with the thread title and my initial post. The new inner clutch hub eliminated all of the play, which I probably should've checked before posting. Now I have to take care of a leaky rear lower rocker cover. Hopefuly after that I'll enjoy many trouble free miles.
