When I bought this Road King I decided to go with FuelMoto’s Jackpot 2:1:2 stainless header and a pair of their new RTX cans. Great pipe, but having had a 2:1 on every other bike in my history (except my FXR, waiting on that), I’ve decided on getting another RTX. I had one on my Road Glide Special and loved it. They are indeed out of stock but expected soon. Hopefully I can get something reasonable for my setup on the classifieds once I have a RTX in my hands…
Love 'em when out cruising the roads and one passes by. Love 'em when sitting roadside and one rolls by at speed. Love 'em in a parking lot when one putts by at low speed. Absolutely HATE 'em from the saddle.
Same here. Sold the one I had on my Dyna after about 3 months of suffering.

I have the XXX FuelMoto 2 In 1 into 2 I wouldnt want to be behind it riding its definitely a big bark when you roll the throttle , but it sounds great

What cans? I think the mufflers make more difference on sound then the head pipe. Im using the RTXs with the inserts installed to improve low end. However they do reduce sound output some.

D+D is definitely a love it or hate kinda pipe, no in between.
Went back and re-read some of these threads that mention the D&D Billet Cat and Quik pretty much nails it here. I run louvered baffles on both my Fat Cat and my Billet Cat and find the Billet Cat (maybe due to it being on an M8) to be much more sedate than the Fat Cat on my Twin Cam. I have trouble understanding those that think the Billet Cat with louvered baffle is "too loud". If anything I think it's too quiet so I've come to think it's a cultural thing. D&D is made in Texas and those like me who think it's a nice-sounding pipe seem to also come from Texas as well... Guessing someone will sound off to contradict me now - LOL. I've got a friend whose pipes on his Deluxe are much louder - we put him as caboose on rides because he's so loud, much more so than my Billet Cat ever dreamed to be. I'm happy with both the sound and performance with my Billet Cat w/ louvered baffle - most of our rides run between the 200-1000 mile range. Happy for every mile.
