I have a 2019 FLHT Electra Std. with the 107" M8 stock to the bone.
I just picked up a set of H-D stock un-modded 2018 CVO slip ons,I wouldn't think I'd need any change in tune but this is my first EFI bike so I thought I'd ask.
Only change would be the mufflers, stock airbox etc.
Good to go or no?
Thanks all!

Won't need a tune and have heard some have even changed to high flow air filter as well without. M8s are supposed to be more forgiving than twin cams.

Nope and some even go to high flow air cleaner included without a tune. M8s are more forgiving than its predecessor.
If ya want a bit more sound, personally (have done many times). I would stand the pipes up on inlet clamp side on plywood and drive it thru (open) before installing.
I have about a 1" solid rod that has a sharp tapered point and poind it thru with a hammer. Last set I did was VERY tough but none the less it opened.
Oops thought I lost last post and didn't know it posted.

Thanks, don't really want a lot more sound, thinking the CVOs will have a little more rumble and that will do.
My last bike (2000 FLHTC) had a 103" build with cams ported heads etc. and Rinehart true duals,it was a bit obnoxious .
I ran drags in my youth and as I get older then less I want loud,65 now and like the toned down sound but the stocks on the FLHT are a little too quiet, even the wife said so ha ha.
To me the CVO mufflers were quieter than the stockers. You can punch/drill out the centers and they are still quiet. They look better but you might be disappointed in the sound.

Good luck...
So quieter than the stockers on what, you swapped a set?
Hmmm, well I'll give them a try first and see.
Def look better.

Since ya have 2 sets, I would try the punching out on at least 1 set as it won't be loud at all but probably more of exactly what ya want. Not loud but yet can faintly hear it when throttle is twisted.
