Today after hearing the constant clacking and clicking sound my Sport Glide engine at highway speed began to lose power and after exiting the road could hear the engine labor with a really loud grinding sound coming from the engine area. I suspect the engine is trash 13 days beyond the 2 yr warranty with ONLY 6300 miles. Has anyone dealt this issue with HD with an expired Manufacturers warranty? I'm taking the bike to the dealer and suspect HD will throw the expired warranty excuse at me. You would think they would stand behind their product since the pump has been upgraded. I have the 2019 sport glide that i purchased new in june 2020, now out of manu warranty.

Welcome to HDForums. I wouldn't jump to conclusions before a diagnosis is performed. We all (presumably) understood the terms of the warranty when we bought our bikes.
That said, once diagnosed, whatever the diagnosis is, it can't hurt to contact the moco to see if they're willing to defray some of the cost. I haven't had to do this with Harley, but Ford covered everything but $150 of a major repair that was not far out of warranty. I thought my wife was nuts when she suggested I ask them, and it sure paid off.

Expired warranty excuse, seriously?
When you rent a hotel room for one night, do you expect them to let you stay an extra day?
The bike is out of warranty, even if it only has 1 mile on it.
You could have at least given the dealer a chance to look at the bike before joining a forum and complaining on your first post...
Rant over.

Have to agree!
Your 1st post, no idea what's wrong yet and you might just get some help from selling dealer and/or the moco...instead you come on here whining...
Build date I think June 2019 or after should have the upgraded pump. Regardless if you upgraded to the 8 vane pump sumping is really rare. It may be something else entirely. I also have a 19 Sport Glide. 30k miles on a 116 HP stage 3 so far not the first hiccup. Let us know what your dealer says.
Sumping on na M8 Softail is insanely rare, infact this is the first time I've ever heard of it happening.
I would have a dealership check it first. This is very unlikely.
Congratulations on your first ever post to HDF, welcome to the forum.
1. What maintenance has been done to your motorcycle?
2. Who did the maintenance?
3. Any modifications performed on your motorcycle.
4. Let the dealer assess the issue, then report back on your findings as it is always interesting to see what a first time poster with problems finds wrong with their motorcycle.
5. Probably should have rode it more and put more miles on it while it was in warranty - just saying.
