Default M8 Problem

Hi, So i had leak on my 2021 m8.. After returning to HD dealer twice in about 6 weeks, I am now informed that they have to replace the Output Gear Shaft, but that it is on back order. Has anyone experienced this on their M*. Any thoughts or feedback are appreciated.

So your transmission is leaking? If the output gear shaft has to be replaced and not just a seal what happened?

I guess the OP lost interest, I was curious as to what was leaking.
FWIW
I got a bike back from a shop after a new rear tire and made note when I dropped it off "adjust belt for 13" shock"
Checked the belt after picking up the bike and "bone tight" is what I got. That will side load the trans and wipe out bearings, seals etc.
Readjusted to 7/16 deflection. The range is 3/8 to 9/16 for 13"shocks.

Here are my thoughts - you have 2 choices 1) take your bike to a different dealer for a 2nd opinion or 2) leave it there and let them fix it.

Pretty simple.
