Updated oil pump?

Stock 2021 oil pump. Water pump replaced under warranty couple of months ago (eliminated as a cause). Any high-speed riding and my engine temps jump from 180-195 to 260 degrees and sumping symptoms begin.
Get off an exit and it's a dog. Spoke to the head guy at Precision HD, they dyno and do builds. He said he hasn't had issues with the 2021 pump but also most are swapped out when built.
Sadly, I wasn't trying to save money not replacing the oil pump, just figured it was unnecessary.
