I can't speak about the other cams mentioned here, but I'm running the S&S 465 cam with the Sidewinder exhaust (catless version with baffle installed) and I'm pleased with how it pulls off the line.
Here is my 114 with the S&S 475 cam, I have the Side winder running the Tq Cone in the rear, bike pulls awesome, never failed and will also pull from 1600 rpm's without shifting in the Mtns. when you get caught in a tight up hill turns sometimes. You may also want to spen some money on a dyno tune as well, take care.
CR480 is the right cam for what youre looking for, I think your issue is tune or pipe. Its amazing the difference the right or wrong pipe can make. Im leaning towards the tune though. From personal experience, a canned tuned from FM with auto tune sessions will never be optimal. Those tunes are to get you to the dyno IMO. Ive compared the fuel and timing tables with those auto tuned canned maps vs post dyno tune and its always quite a lot different. That should be expected because every bike and combo is unique. You could change the cam and fix a problem that doesnt exist aka be right where you are now. Just my .02

I still don’t think it’s the pipe, considering I’ve used two different ones. I think it might be in the tune now as well.,
