I used the same header on my 131 and it’s a big plus

Question: Is the stock clutch and the 1275N springs going to be enough to prevent slipping? My local shop/dyno guy strongly suggests that it is not in his experience. I ask because I am upgrading to a 128" this Winter and am trying to decide on my clutch combo. Thanks!

Not sure what I’ll end up doing with the clutch. The bike has 4K miles on it and the SE clutch was installed along with the 131 when the bike was new. I’m adding the 1275N springs to the exiting SE clutch and we will see what happens.
I did a FM 128 build a few years ago and it made about 126/146, if I remember correctly. On that build I used and aftermarket clutch and had zero issues.
The guy doing the cam swap and tune is going to try it with what I have and if it slips, I’ll have to upgrade. Once I get results back I’ll post, as well as any other changes I had to make.

Clutch is fine the way it is. Just get the SE heavy Clutch springs and a better compensator ramp

Well……. Just got a call from the tech. They are working on the cam and noticed that whoever built the 131 put the base gaskets on upside down. I bought the bike already built with only 215 miles on it, but can’t go back to the dealer that built it because I didn’t buy it from them and that dealership was sold last year.
Going to have the base gaskets replaced and while it’s apart a couple of other small things taken care of. Should hear back late next week, once they have it back together.

I will definitely be looking @ mine when I get a chance to see exactly how they could see that.

There’s an embossed area covering the oil return oring. Someone wasn’t paying attention
