Well . Just got a call from the tech. They are working on the cam and noticed that whoever built the 131 put the base gaskets on upside down. I bought the bike already built with only 215 miles on it, but cant go back to the dealer that built it because I didnt buy it from them and that dealership was sold last year.
Going to have the base gaskets replaced and while its apart a couple of other small things taken care of. Should hear back late next week, once they have it back together.
Maybe the base gasket was sticking out in a weird spot that they noticed because this is a LOT more labor than just a cam change now, but a good opportunity to change to a .030 head gasket.

When I talked to them yesterday we discussed changing the head gasket and also changing the piston jets. The bike only has 4K miles but they are going to inspect the cylinders and pistons early this coming week. Not expecting any bad news, but since its apart.
I would like to get to 11:1 compression and I think the .030 gasket will achieve that.
Thinking last night, even though I bought the bike used from a car dealership, Im going to ask the original HD shop to pay for the repair. I have a friend at HD, that sent me all of the parts list, build info and dealer info before I bought the bike. I know its not a warranty issue and the dealership that built it has sold, but it never hurts to ask.

Good that you're staying on top of it, 11:1 and S&S piston jets are a good idea.
Parts have arrived and the bike goes in the shop early January. Riding a 2021 UL with a HD 131, V&H header, S&S mufflers, HD Ventilator a/c with FM BMF filter, tuned with the HD tuner and HD auto tuner.
Bike currently has about 4K miles, Ive had it less than a year and only had 215 miles on it when I bought it. Other than mufflers, Trask trans vent and BMF filter the bike is as I purchased it.
Parts - APE/CR 515 cam, SE cam plate/oil pump, SE 68MM TB/Manifold and 6.8 injectors. S&S lifters, cuffs and push rods. Adding SE 1275N springs to the SE clutch. Swapping to FM 2/1/2 Jackpot XXX header and staying with the S&S mufflers with DB reducers in place. Will be tuned with PV.
No real update other than they are waiting for the S&S piston jets to arrive, before reassembly. They did a full inspection and no issues were found. The only other weird thing is there was some kind of goop in the intake. They mentioned it looked like someone used the wrong kind of oil on the air filter, but no oil was ever used on either of the air filter elements that have been on the bike.
The tech doing the build did say that I should expect valve train noise due the the cam profile. Most likely, Ill be able to hear the valves closing, or as the tech said, slamming shut.
Heres a good comparison picture of the SE 517 cam from the HD 131 kit and the APE/CR 515. Notice the CR is almost rectangular at the top. Thats what the tech mentioned would cause the increased valve noise.
