Motorcycle Insurance DiscussionThis is the place to discuss what type of Motorcycle Insurance you carry or any problems or good experiences you've had with certain companies.
No kidding? I had them years ago, maybe I should look at them again! Pretty low rates you have there.
I had just switched to foremost 1 month before my lowrider got stolen. They didn`t hassle me and gave me the full ammount i asked for which included my extras. Didn`t raise my rates after that either.
$1'725 for the year which includes a 25% discount for Manitoba. Thank goodness I have only 8 weeks left in this communist (i.e NDP) province before going back to Saskatchewan.
I pay 212 a year. 500 deductible. 20k/40k. 10k property. I plan on increasing the limits as typically in CT most people get the state min as I have... No UIM.
After my accident, almost 2 weeks ago, I see the coverage is on the low side.
Good point about having too low of coverage. In FL so many people drive without insurance, suspended licenses and many illegals who are untraceable, so it is all up to my own insurance company. I know the ER can blow through $20k in one day if you are hurt. Add any rehab... and I am facing foreclosure.
Almost impossible to compare rates. Age, credit score, zip code, ticket history, accident history, marriage status, garage or not and a multitude of other factors in what the rate would be on the same bike but different owners in different locations.
Any way here goes. I pay $480/yr total for 7 bikes.
I bundle my coverage with State Farm; house, car, Harley. I get all the good driver, loyalty, no claims, etc. The motorcycle has 25/50/15 as required in Utah, Uninsured motorist, full comprehensive with $1,000 deductible. Annual premium is currently $186.
In California, similar coverage was about double that number 9 years ago.
I pay $903 per year, thru Progressive, for full coverage on three bikes (two riders): 2006 SG, 2007 UC and 2008 EG. Of course a full year here is only 6-8 months, so that helps out a bit.
