Yes Z+, you did get them but as per phone conversation, they must be working very well. You have not crossed the state line and come on over and seen me. What do I have to do? Put down that spatula and paint brush, unlock those brakes & lets ride.
I purchased a set of Z-Plus pads front and rear for my 93 FXR from my local dealer. I could have saved a little money by buying direct from Howard. The deal is that although the local Indy warranties his work, he will not warranty parts bought elsewhere. Figured that as long as we were pulling the wheels and installingnew Metzeler 880's anyways it would be the better way to go.
I am very pleased with the performance of the brakes and can't speak highly enough about them. I'm also pretty pleased with the Metzeler 880's, once I had a couple of hundred miles on them. Prior to thatthey were pretty loose and squirrely, but not anymore. I am sold on the Lyndall products though!!
Great bike. FXR, too bad Harley did not make panels to flow with the lines to fit over that rear cross brace. I ride an aftermarket FXR myself. Great bike! Good luck on your FXR. Keep it forever if you can. Thanks for the kind words. Please remember to clean out your calipers every 2,500 miles just like I have on my DIY page.
