Default Summer ride

Hi everyone,

my wife and me are planning our Summer Motorbike Trip in the USA.

We want to start from Denver and see the Rocky Mountain National Park, go to the Black Hills, visit Sturgis and Mount Rushmore, then go to Yellowstone and find a different route back to Denver ( maybe through Laramie).

I f you have recommendation of any kind ( places to see, hotels, restaurants, attractions, great roads, places not worth sseing) we would be appreciate your assistance very much !!!

It's hard to go wrong in the Black Hills and the Rocky Mountains. Stay off the interstates when you can. Be aware that Yellowstone in the summer is awash with tourists that will stop on the road anytime they see a "wild" animal and this can create lines of cars a mile long. Luckily for you it's easier to bypass these lines on a motorcycle. The roads in the park can also be quite rough as the winters are very harsh there. On the way back from Yellowstone, a scenic route would be to take US 20 to Manderson; Wy 31 to the Nowood road, which is paved, down to US 16 that goes to Ten Sleep, a nice little mountain town, and over the Powder River pass to Buffalo. The old highway still exists from Buffalo to Kaycee and is a twistier alternative to I-25 to Casper. From there Wy 487 to US 287/30 to Laramie and then 287 to Ft Collins, CO. Both Laramie and Ft Collins have universities, so there's lots of bars and restaurants.
Rocky Mountain Harley-Davidson in Littleton, a Denver 'burb, has the coolest backprint in the world. South of there is a nice bar in Sedalia, RMHD also has a shop in Castle Rock, and the Stagecoach bar in Franktown is a well-known biker bar. Highway 83 is a good way to go from there to Colorado Springs, which has a very nice dealership. Old Colorado City, west of downtown on business route 24 is a nice place to stop. From there you continue on old 24 to the small mountain town of Manitou Springs. If you want to journey further into the mountains, US 24 takes to through several other towns. Green Mountain Falls is nice, and the gambling town of Cripple Creek is south of Divide.
You can take any number of side trips all through the Rockies and not go wrong. One other place you might want to try, if you don't mind a few miles of twisty gravel with a drop off, is the Bucksnort Saloon, just off CO 126, north of Pine, not too far west of Denver. A very cool place.
