Need some road trip ideas!
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
You could go to Mindoro, WI and have lunch at Top Dawgs. They have 108 burgers on their menu. Some of them are quite good. Take Hwy 108 there from West Salem. Although it's only about 10 miles total, it's a fun and scenic road. I believe there are YouTube videos of it on a bike.
Maybe an hour south of LaCrosse there's a place called The Great American Roadhouse. It's south of Stoddard on Hwy 35 (aka. Great River Rd.). The highway follows the Mississippi and the pizza at the Roadhouse is very good.
On Sundays the Rockton Bar & Grill (in Rockton, WI) has a chicken BBQ. You need to call ahead for "reservations". The food is typical field day grilled chicken, but it's a popular biker destination. They reportedly serve over 400 bikers each Sunday. The roads there and back are fun, but watch for the Amish buggies. On your way back take Hwy 33 out of Ontario towards Hillsboro and stop at a place called The Bullpen. It's a nice little bar in a barn. That will also take you through Wildcat Mountain State Park, which is a mini version of the ride on Hwy 108.
Try this site with the Wisconsin "Rustic Roads" program. It will probably give you some great
ideas.http://www.dot.wisconsin.gov/travel/scenic/maps.htm
Also, try Eagle, WI and go to Knuckleheads bar and grill. This is a big biker destination with good food and drink.

Hope this helps!

Duh! I have been living in MN for too long I guess, I was thinking of WI as being east of here.
Tripwire - all you suggestions are good ones. I cant believe I didn't think of Mindoro. The last time I was on that road it was getting a little rough but still a lot of fun.
Have you been to southern Indiana? Great roads for riding! Here are some rides you could take.
