Making big trip this summer, and need lodging in Jackson, July 23 to 26. Last time stayed at the Cowboy Village... it was ok... though the cabin I rented is not available this trip. Can someone suggest decent places to stay for 3 couples... or a contact out there... Would like to rent something nice, but not $300.00 to $1,000 dollars a night!

That's a very pricey weekend up there my friend. I don't have anyone to refer you to but can tell you it will be slim pickens. July 24 is a state holiday in Utah, everyone is up there that weekend. I would suggest jumping on hotels.com and grabbing something quick.

July 24, 1847 is the day when the Mormons settled in the Salt Lake valley. It's called Pioneer Day and is a statewide holiday.

 

Try the Anvil Motel - www.anvilmotel.com It is in the middle of town right across the street from the big park. It's reasonable and has covered motorcycle parking in the back.

 

Ain't nothing reasonable (price wise) about Jackson Wy.

 

You might think about staying in Alpine, Victor Idaho or Dubois depending on how you are coming in to the Hole. They all have cheaper rates.
