The Snowy Range Fire Ride
I told you that I'd post more about the ride as we got stuff figured out. This is for our Rawlins fire department rally. Rawlins, WY is located on I-80 around mile post 214. Preregistration is at The Days Inn on Aug. 20th from 1800-2000, stay for a live band, and at the Hole in the Wall bar the morning of the 21st at 0800-0900. The ride will start at 0930. The price is $30 per rider and $15 per passenger (includes a t-shirt, while supplies last). We will be doing a poker run and a Bug Splat competition from Rawlins over the Snowy Range and back to Rawlins. (Apx. 275 miles) Back to the Hole in the Wall bar for a barbeque and live band. A limited run challenge coin that will commemorate the ride will be offered for sale the day of the ride. All proceeds will go to the Rawlins Volunteer Fire Department. If you haven't ridden over the Snowy Range, then you're missing out. Look it up online and you'll find that it is one of the best mountain roads, for rides, in North America. Come on out to Rawlins for the weekend and have some fun. We'll be selling challenge coins for the ride, raffling a fire department pedal car, poker run, and "bug splat" competition
