I want to personally thank the riders here for all the comments and most importantly the perceived “novice” comments. I don’t come so that I can take the word of “professionals” pushing products. I have personally interviewed all the current manufacturers of shocks and made my choice based on a preponderance of the evidence of tech and seat of the pants feel from riders both here and in my group.
From that feedback and equally important, customer service feedback, I made my choice. I make enough that I can buy any shock I want, but I don’t overspend or waste my money on over-kill. I have a family to care for as well.
Thanks again for the folks that make up this forum!

Actually, if the price was reasonable (which it isn't), the 2017 and newer front forks with the dual bending valve is a very good setup (with the correct weight fluid for the riders weight).

You didn’t ask any questions or make any comments beyond “Oh God here we go...” Whats the point of the above comment beyond taking a passive aggressive dig at one of the best suspension experts out there - who by the way doesn’t ONLY sell Ohlins, pretty sure he sells racetech as well... And he has enough business coming to him that he doesn’t need to “push” anything.

Hope you enjoy your new suspension based on the “preponderance of the evidence of tech and seat of the pants feel from riders” (loved this wording) and hope the data you aggregated from personal interviews and evidence of tech gathering was accurate.

Hope you spent your ample supply of hard earned money well!

Ride safe!

This was the dig to good members here;

“I see many unqualified member's here evaluating products with absolutely no qualifications other than they should be prohibited to ever use tools.”

I stand by my comments, I don’t need to validate them to you, and I read every post and interviewed vendors, so if I didn’t need to post I wouldn’t.

I did however want to assure my brothers and sisters that all the non-belittling remarks were helpful and valued, even if they do not reach the level of approval from a vendor here.

After all, ratings and advice by users is one of the biggest tools of all suppliers are bringing to the game now...

My statement was directed directly at SkyMaster1 and treated by me as answering this concept of heavier oil and its ramifications. Read my post. This is about selling and hawking different weight oil and “a biased opinion“.

SkyMaster1 (Statement) to (SWThomas) Have any independent lap tests to backup that statement? ....but again, this is a biased opinion. SkyMaster1 (Statement) Maybe when someone without any affiliation to suspension manufactures runs all suspension possibilities head to head ill believe it.

ColoStreetGlide, you were not the OP and no one was referring to you. “This was the dig to good members here;” When you go on a chat site it is very important to know how to read than understand what you read. You failed the test. I, in as little words as possible, what heavier oil does. In place of not understanding a post than demonstrating that you do not and act negatively, try adding something positive that we all can use.

I am done with you.
