Default Lowers mod to improve air flow

I have seen posts about adding the wet head grills to the air cooled lowers, removing the shelf to improve air flow. Well here in Texas my lowers are for looks. I started by removing the vent doors. Then I realized the grills from the wet head would fit . I use the glove box so I took the panels on the inside and cut them down instead of removing the shelf.... box.
Besides I can always snap the solid panels back in place if it gets that cold... but here , I doubt I will need to.

This is an awesome idea, I have been looking for a way to get more air flow without the need to pull the lowers!

Have part numbers for the grills?

I am looking into these too but it looks like you still have to cut the inner panels out to get them opened up?

Guess I have to take them off and take them apart to figure out how you cut these but this would work great here in AZ...

If your talking about the panel in in the second pic, I cut it down to where the bottom of the opening is. I had left it off at first but like I said the two raised stands it mounts to were bothering me. So I cut it and installed it. If you pop off the outer panel and look it will make sense.

You mean pop off the plastic radiator vent covers?
