Me and my girl are going riding on Sunday. I was thinking of meandering my way from Hawthorne up through Harriman / Perkins Dr. then back through Sterling forest / Greenwood lake an probably find a place to satisfy some hunger.
It's not set in stone as far as the route. Hopefully get out of here before 11am. I'd like to shoot for 10am. Maybe grab a coffee at the Hawthorne dunkin donuts. My home away from home.
If anyone wants to join along, you're more than welcome.
I wanted to take a ride up to OCC but I heard they closed up shop. I didn't want to buy anything. Just take a large #2 on the property.
Good to see all the guys who said they'd ride, actually chimed in on this.
Or maybe ya'll knew what I was in for heading to Perkins Dr today. In three+ hours, I traveled 40mi. I sat and sat and sat in traffic from rt17/202 all the way down the palisades. Get to Perkins drive exit and it was shut down. The guy who blocked the road said it was full and no one was allowed to go up. "What do you mean it's full? There are always people going up and coming down...GRRRR".
As my buddy who rode with me said "mileage is way down, but seat time was through the roof".
Sorry for not checking in any sooner. I wound up hitting up this underground stunt party in Randolph off of RT10. These kids on their rice rockets were quite impressive. Totally had a blast! My buddies and I were the only hogs there so of coarse we kinda stuck out of the crowd, lol. It started out as a bday party for one of the guys with 20-30 guys invited, and wound up being over 200 bikes and quads showing up....lasted a good 5 hours until the po po showed up. Even then they watched for a 1/2 hour before telling everyone to split.

It's definitely been a long time since I dealt with traffic like that. WOW!

We were riding up there and enjoying the day, ran into a bunch of guys riding that Yonkers MC ride at a bar-b-que place up near Dover. Cool people, and some good grilling up there! This guy was GIGANTIC and had this enormous smoker he cooks on. The colors might not be fantastic this year but I loved ridin' on Sunday! Man I hate thinking about the Cold that's coming!
