Went out riding yesterday for a short one as it was nice and sunny but super windy (30-40mph). The Road King is so stable it's amazing. I have a 16" windshield.
Felt solid and planted even on top of a bridge.
It was about noon when all of a sudden, the clouds came and shut down the sunlight. I said no problem, there is no rain in the forecast. Then it started snowing hard with big flakes. Since it was so windy, the flakes were going in a horizontal direction with the wind. I was so amazed as it was my first time riding in this condition.
People in their cars were looking at me and I'm sure they were not admiring the bike.
Eventually it tapered off to flurries but the wind remained brutal. Only good thing was nothing stuck on the ground and it stayed nice and dry.
Visited Liberty Harley in Rahway for some coffee and hot dogs and got home in the afternoon. It was nice to be out on the bike. I had my Gerbings so I was very comfortable on the bike. Just wanted to post this. Should be a better riding day today with less wind and more sun.
Rode to work today. What a great day to be out. Too bad I could not get out earlier and that we will get some crappy weather the next few days including Saturday!!! Still, not really complaining as this winter was a the best in recent years, for riding anyway.
