I'm looking to trade the nightster in for an FLHX, does anyone here know someone who is a big dog at a dealer? Perhaps a big dog themselves? I'm all for dealers making money but a decent hook up would be cool so I don't have to get completely raped. I'm in lowell and I wouldn't mind traveling a little further for a good deal on an 08. Let me know, if you are or know a salesmen, I might as well send the commission your or their way.
This is the perfect time of year for a deal. \\; Our dealers here in KY are out of bikes and haven't had a Nightster for a couple months. \\; Especially if you want an '08...you might want to wait until the '09 bikes are announced.
I figured with the 09's coming soon they would be willing to let 08's go cheaper. I know not as cheap as if the 09's were already out but I don't wanna wait till last minute and be stuck with an odd color or something stupid.
Manchester HD usually does good deals (ask for Harold Brooks) and they have the FLHX in white gold and red sunglo. Nashua HD has the same two colors plus black pearl but I haven't had many dealing with them except their head engine tech who is great! Above in stock listing based on their web sites as of this morning.
But my best dealings & experiences have been at Monadnock HD just south of Keene, NH and they have an FLHX in vivid black w/security and cruise ask for Bill Cherry and tell him Chip Bailey sent ya! And they may well do deals over the phone to save you some gas as they do a lot of out of state sales and are also willing to locate a bike if you wanted something special for options or colors. But it's a nice trip anyway! They are an MSRP dealer plus throw in some extras +/or service discounts, but with a trade they may have more room to work as their used inventory is usually small.
I just bought my bike from nashua HD and had a great experiance with Dan Gilbane there, it didn't hurt that the sales manager Mike knew me as the door guy from one of his old favorite bars. \\; I would recomend them to anyone looking to buy new.
