If you ride up Mt washington bring a hoodie and a new set of brake pads!!! My summer house is only minutes from Mt. W. and I've done the ride many times but never on a bike. I feel bad for my cars brakes and transmission every time I'm on my way down. I couldn't be bothered any more with the trip up but if you haven't done it I highly recommend doing it once to check it out. Just remember the trip down 25 to 16 is about 40 miles and then another 45 or so from there to Mt. W. it's not exactly around the corner. Definitely ride the Kang as it's my favorite place in the white Mts. I suggest two places if the weather is warm...... Lower Falls (off the Kang) and Diana's Bath (not far from Conway center. Good spots to sit back and relax near the water.

I'm heading up from Orange, Ma on Saturday morning. No reservations but might stay over into Sunday. You're doing it in 1.5 hours? It's at least 2.5 from here.

There is a PARK-N-RIDE (it's free) at Exit #20 that you can use.
You might even be able to park at a far end of a fast food joint like Mac D's.
I have done it before up at the one in Lincoln,NH. Just make sure you ask
the Manager first ! At Exit 20 there are alot of big shopping lots that
also may let you, again just make sure you ask first.
How close are you looking to park and ride ?
