It's supposed to great weather this weekend and I'm not working. Anyone in the central NY area want to meet up for a ride? I do about 98% of my riding alone or with my wife on the back. Just thought it would be cool to meet some people from HDF.
BTW the reason I ride solo most of the time is almost everyone I know around here wants to ride 10 miles and drink coffee for hours and then ride 10 miles home That's cool once in awhile but I'd rather ride than talk So I just jump on my scoot after work and head out alone. Let me know.
NO Chit! Same here Jim! I usually ride up to the Boonville Hotel for steamers and a cold one. Or head up to Iron Block or maybe Spitzie's in Albany. Just head out against the wind and smooth sail home.
Cool I head through Boonville quite a bit and Iron Block once in awhile. That's a pretty big place lots of bikes. Never rode down towards Albany though. I got done working early today so I got about 250 miles in. I headed up through Old Forge then Blue mountain Lake and back down through Speculator and Lake Pleasant and back to Rome. Picked up the wife and went to Sylvan Beach for dinner. Not sure where I'll ride tommorow but I'm going somewhere Let me know if you want to meet up and ride.
I see you guys are talking about the area were I will be moving to hopefully soon. Were is the Iron Block? When I get up there maybe we could get together and ride. As you said its ok to stop for something to eat and then you have to ride agian. The ride cleans the mind out.

Welcome to the board Iron Block is in Adams center. http://www.ironblock.com/ It's a cool store to look around in. They have a lot of bikes to check out but I noticed this weekend when I took a ride up there that they don't have any stock bikes. They add a few mods like slip ons and Stage 1 to all of them then add 2-3 k to the msrp
Where abouts are you going to be moving?
I rode up to Iron Block today, from Cortland. Got caught in about 35 miles of unexpected rain north of Syracuse, but the rest of the ride was nice.
This was my first trip up there. The store was picked pretty clean of bikes and the accessories were more than sparse. The women's section was tiny and both ladies were disappointed.
There's a museum upstairs which was roped off. They wanted $5.00 a head to walk through it!
Dude I hear ya with the coffee thing a group that meets every night and weekend at the 7 11 up the block thats all they do sit around and drink coffee. Went for a ride with them a few times and they rode to another 7 11 about 15 miles away and had more coffee! I spent more time pissing than riding.
Sylvan Beach Bike Night every Tuesday. A great show-up tonight, some of us got away with a few tire burns. . . Good bars along the beach with "no cover" bands playing. Check out the air catcher on this bike. . .
Well some guys from work are meeting me at Dunkin Donuts in Schoharie Sunday morning for a ride. Were departing at 9:30am for a 150 mile ride through Cobelskill, Richmondvill, Summitt, Jefferson, Gilboa, Middleburgh and then up to Rotterdam if anyone want's to go Your more than welcome. We'll probally stop 3-4 times to see some sights and get lunch.
