In my late teens and early twenties...a bunch of us would rent a van and head up to WoodStock East and stay there for a week every winter, hitting the slopes of Killington...which was my favorite ski place. Back then when it was affordable. Haven't skied in 25 years. We'd rent this little efficiency room at this little motel in WoodStock East...next to a place called KC's tavern, across the street from a pizza hut or papa ginos or something like that. Hit the bars on Killington base road a lot too....The Pickle Barrel, and the Wobbly Barn?

Some very good memories ...although very foggy. Lots of herb 'n booze were done.

I'll have to get to this rally next year, i'm hearing from more and more people this is a GREAT rally. I ski occasionally with my kids up at Killi , but never explored roads up there.

did the classic this year, (1st), loved it. Hurricane Irene sure did a lot of damage, but kudos to Vermont for getting in shape in less than a year!!!! Loved Johnny Boys for breakfast.....
