Last year Mike's Famous Harley-Davidson ran a simultaneous event called "OC Bikefest", this year Rommels is apparently carrying on the tradition. It puts a lot more in Ocean City at the beach and most of it is at the boardwalk with free parking at the Ocean City Inlet parking lot for motorcycles (at least it was free last year- haven't checked on this year). There's good bands there- "Featuring the music of classic bands like The Charlie Daniels Band, 38 Special, Jackyl, Grand Funk Railroad and more."
Look at the site ocbikefest.com for information. I don't have any association with it other than I think it's great because it makes the whole week event that much bigger and better and I'm only a half hour away.

Nice web site. Even has a list of Leo regulation for the area. Will definitely be in oc for sure.
Thank you to everyone who posted info. Appreciate it.
We decided to try something a little different this year and it's just the two of us for a change so we're kind of looking forward to it. We've never been to Ocean City.
True story from 20-25 years ago ... I was on the way to the beach about 1/2 between Salisbury and OC. Came around a curve and there was a boy - about 12 or 13 - on the side of the road holding a piece of cardboard: "RADAR". I slowed down and around the bend, sure enough, was a speed trap with 3-4 police cars and no cars pulled over. A hundred yards down the road was another bend ... around it was another kid holding up 5 gal pickle bucket that said: "TIPS". Figured $5 was well earned. I don't know how long it took before they got caught, but I bet they made some good money that day.
Very cool story!
And thanks for all the other detailed info in your post!

Thanks again.
Have fun man, you're gonna love it. Make sure to ride to some of the coastal islands below Delmarva too, not sure if it was mentioned already. Freakin beautiful. Wild horses, beautiful shoreline scenery.
I'm bummed because my girlfriend bought a time share down in Key West the same week as the Ocean City Bike Week. We thought it would be cool to have a time share down in KW during their Bike Week, which it is, but we realized it was the same freakin week as Delmarva! ARRRGH
So, you're missing out on Bike Week OC because you'll be at Bike Week in Key West? Cry me a river. Flip a quarter into the fish over Cap'n Tony's for those of us back at work.
@trafficjams -Like I said, it's been a long time since I've been there, so my info on hangouts might be out of date. But ...
If you're down toward the Inlet side of town, try to get to The Angler for a Goombay Smash, an OC classic. But be careful w how many you drink. They go down easy and catch up w you fast.
Thrashers Fries, nuff said
Layton's on 92nd for breakfast anytime.
Someone mentioned The Purple Moose ... that place has been cool since I was a kid.
Hope both of you guys have a great time.

Try Harborside also, best orange crushes on the planet.
I've been to alot of so-called bikeweeks, this is definetly one of the best, with OC bikefest( in its second year) the same time as Delmarva bike week (in its 12 year)the events combined spread over about a 20 mile area and all in between. Cant wait leaving Thursday morning with camper in tow.
Wild bills is ok. Burn out pits and bands. Down near first street. Fishtails was already mentioned. I think secrets is way over crowded after 10 (where they have rock bands, inside), during earlier hours it's great though. Heard purple moose is good but haven't been in there yet (that's on the boardwalk near first street area). I think bike week is the last event for the year. Some places run low on beer, hooters ran out of bud light on us. Said they weren't getting anymore cause they were closing for the season. Last year was a hurricane. Just had my bike pin striped in Salisbury and had to ride back to OC in the damn thing. Had some videos of some bikes falling over. Most all the bars that are good will have vendors outside and selling beer outside, so they are easy to find while riding. Ride up the coastal hwy to hwy 20 or a little further to 26. Go west till you hit seaford. The hd shop is there, some vendors. Then 13 south to Salisbury and back to OC. I'll be there starting on monday that week, do the beach thing first and then bike week(end).
I don't remember a hurricane but I do remember seeing the tornado cross the street ahead of myself & my fellow riders! It was about 1000 yards ahead of us and that was way too close! Looking forward to riding down next week.
