Hi guys,I posted last week about changing the oil in my 05' Fat boy for winterization.I asked
about the proper tightness to installing my oil filtr.Well, to my dismay I pulled the cover off
today to pull bettery and theres an oil spot on the ground. After further investigation its
coming from oil filter.I tried to resnug it and its tight. Now what do I do?What could be the cause? Thanks Ray
its a 05'Fatboy regular stock chrome oil filter.I changed the oil last week.I looked under the biketoday and theres oil.Its leaking from the oil filter. It looks like its leaking from whereit seals
.Everything is tight whats do you think the problem is?I need to fix it before I store it.
I got a few drops after my last oil change. Turns out it was just from changing my old filter. I got a lot of oil on the engine and frame. Wiped most of it off ( I thought ) but what I didnt get found its way to the floor. In my whole life I've never had an oil filter leak, cars, trucks, bikes etc... Look around for any little bit of oil that may still be on your bike.
