Interesting comparisons. I don't look down at Fram quite as much. Pretty suprised at the HD filter though...

Good to know the Fram filter is constructed just like the Fram Ultra series. Been using them for many years on all my vehicles including outboards, Kawasaki V twin powered zero turn mowers, and Generac V twin whole home generators.

I use Fram on some things but not on motorcycle's. I built a motor for a guy on his bike years ago. He put good money in parts. Build went great. Within 500 miles, the filter disintegrated, plugged up the journals and seized the motor. Bike ran great till then. When I tore it down, that's what I found, filter paper. . Filter choice was his.

WIX is IMO makes the best oil filter....for everything.

Now that's a cool dude... Not necessarily because he's an engineer expert. Fram's, Harley's, WIX's, K&N... ect will all do the job.
I've owned numerous bikes, car, truck and small motors that don't even have a filter. Still do.

Just bought a HD brand M8 filter, may have to try the Wix M8 filter too
