no idea how HD filters are constructed but over the last 20 years, over 10 Harleys and 300,000 miles they have worked flawlessly so I chose wisely all that time

75,000 was the highest ,but after that many bikes, that much time and miles etc..I think the catastrophic failure rate risk of oil filters is extremely low. I certainly don't fuss, fret or worry much about my Harleys like so many do, but that's just me .. others are free to commence doing what makes them feel better
