Another ?..What does FLSTCI stand for...
I believe that's the HD model designation for a Heritage Softail Classic Fuel Injected......my low rider is a FXDLI which is FXD= Dyna, FXDL= Dyna Low Rider Model, FXDLI= Dyna Low Rider Model Fuel Injected.......
That's correct. Heritage Softail Classic Fuel Injected.

All Lubricants changed today, everything went fine. I did forget to put teflon tape on the oil & Tranny plugs, but I will keep a eye on them. thanks to everyone for your support & advice. Saved me a bunch $$$.. Now I can go to Bike week & not worry about if I`m killing my engine..

According to the Fix my Hog dvd you should not use teflon tape on the drain plugs anyway...always use Silicone Paste...the tape can get into the engine apparently. That's what the Fix My Hog guy said anyway. Just a tip for you. Glad things worked out for ya...I'm doing my first oil change this weekend...got the manual this week after quit a wait, it was on order[:@]. Going with Mobil 1 V-Twin synthetic in motor,Mobil 75w-90 synthetic in tranny and 15w-40 non synthetic deisel oil in primary. I hear some here use peanut oil but to each their own I guess that way you can cook with the left overs[sm=icon_quiet.gif][sm=chairshot.gif]

FYI,my bike came with the white loctite on all the drain plugs from the factory. You don't need it.

Hi there OneBlackFly....the paste that they use in the Fix My Hog dvd is a plumbers paste that a plumber would use on pipe threads I am not sure they mention any brand per say. But any plumbing supply store should have it...it's also called pipe dope. It is not any kind of threadlocker really it's more of a extra insurance against an oil leak by sealing the threads on th plug. It is in no way a loctite.

Loctite makes a white locktite for sealing hydraulic & fluid fittings. Lock lightly and seals oil fittings. There is a thread here that says not to use pipe dope. I think it's by TC.

No pipe dope on the oil drain plugs....you are absolutly right...I just played the DVD Fix My Hog again and they say to use teflon paste not pipe dope. they do not expain what teflon paste to use...just teflon paste. My mistake sorry about that...I sure don't want to lead anyone astray with my limited knowledge. Glad someone caught the mistake.

I've been told by the indy's not to use anything on the drain plugs... just put on a new o-ring each time and torque to proper spec.

Engine - Mobil 1 V-Twin
Primary - HD Formula + (Supposedly has additional additives for the clutch)
Trans - Redline Shockproof Heavy - Ordered online from Summit Racing - got a free hat.

Yup, me too. after searching every Awefull Zone within 30 miles of my house and not finding any M1 V-Twin, I went with M1 15W50 Gold Cap-Engine, M1 10W40 Dino-Primary and M1 75W90 in the trans. Works great. The only difference I can find is in my billfold.
