Anyone have any experience with the 'M6 Self Adjusting Chain Tensioner'. I see it from Drag Specialities and othes and it sounds like a good idea (constant tension), but do not know anyone who has actually tried one out.

I got my Clymers and some others from amazon.com. The 'Clymer Harley-Davidson: Fx/Fl Softail Big-Twin Evolution 1984-1999 (Paperback)' was right at $19...

It's a lot more than just a book - it's one of the few things (besides tools) that'll actually pay for itself many, many times over. You might also want to invest in 3 or 4 torque wrenches.

I installed the M6 tensioner on my Dyna Lowrider about 2000 miles ago and I imediately noticed that it shifted quieter and easier, an I will never have to adjust it again. I highly recommend it.

I have the 05 HD manual. It says to put one quart in the primary. The transmission gets 20-24 ounces.
