any responses? How many miles? Any unusual noises? What's your oil pressure like? Bike running ok? Could be just a short causing the light to stay on.....could be your cam chain tensioners took a **** and trashed your oil pump....

stock motor never wrenched on 36000 miles on bike problem was tensioner went out took out the oil pump going with hydraulic tensioners replacing pump, bearings and new cams high flow air and screamin eagle pipes

Cool, glad you got it figured out, sorry it's so pricey! If you haven't already moved on the tensioners, I'd strongly recommend going with gear drive cams. The hydraulic tensioners are better than the stock crap, but they will still wear and leave you at some point in the exact same situation. Going gear drive is more expensive, but only once. After the change you won't ever have to worry about the cam problems again! Always good to replace the bearings as well, and of course you already know you need a new pump. Keep us posted! I have about 65K on my scoot now and am worried I might have trouble with an oil pump or other soon. Mine has a 95 kit with gear drives. Should I just go through the bike or replace it soon? Should I be nervous or just relax and ride it? She is running good for now.
