Default Crazy ?

Well I finally have my bike back together after some serious disassembly. Rode a few time probably totalling 15 miles . Went for a ride this morning , planning on doing apx 100 miles . On the way my oil light came on . Pulled the bike over and checked level and it was good . Started it and there was some flow in the tank . Never doing that before I didn't know what was good flow . Anyway I thought maybee the sender wire grounded out or was faulty . On the way home noticed at higher rpm it didn't sound right . Got home ( apx 3 miles ) and started checking oil line routing and they were fine . Pulled them and tried to blow through them and the only one I had trouble with was the oil feed from tank . Removed tank and still couldn't get much air through . So i decided to run water thorugh the tank and rinse it out . I found a piece a apx 1 1/2 diameter clear hose that was very distorted and obviously blockinh the feed tube . Has anyone ever seen anything like that before or am I the only lucky one ?

Okay, You had a chunk of 1 1/2" ID hose in the oil tank? Sounds like someone was using it for a trash can.

You just won the hose lottery!! I won the pencil lottery with a Chrysler when the heater core started leaking and I removed it to find a brand new never sharpened UAW No.2 pencil hammered through the heater core. I took it to the dealer and they sent it to Chrysler who paid to have my car towed to the dealer and repaired and cleaned and waxed. BTW the car was 9 years old and had 78,000 miles on it. I would notify the MoCo about it for certain.

I had a '77 Ford van that started overheating shortly after I bought it. Turned out the radiator was full of fine sand-like material. Dealer said it was from when the engine block was cast. Beats me, but it got fixed free.
