Oil pressurue problem

I have a 08 flhx, with 9000 miles on it, the other day i developed a leak at the oil drain plug and corrected it with a new o ring. I drained it and replaced the oil but not the filter since it only had 500 miles on it . I ysed harley 20w 50 oil. Today when it got hot out my oil pressure guage would go down to 10 when stoped at idle. When i give it gas she goes back to normal. The bike is running fine no leaks no problems. Has anyone else ever had this problem? What is it?

Many (myself included) see cruise oil pressure at about 32 (indicated) and will drop to less then 10 at a hot idle.

You should be fine.

Don't fret, that's about normal for hot TC at idle. My 08 FXSTC used to sit around 6psi at hot idle. The restrictive HD oil filters play a part in that as well. I switched to a PP filter, and now it idles at 20+.
