Long story short here. Last week before a 1000 mile weekend trip I topped off my crankcase. It was about a quarter quart low and didn't wanna worry about it on the weekend. Grabbed the open quart and spilled in 3-4 ounces, threw the empty in the trash and we took off. Today was time to change oil and check other fluids so I gather goodies and find my partial quart of Formula + is gone. Sure enough it is in the trash can. I added Formula + to my crankcase! That was a thousand miles ago, (great ride in west Wisconsin), tell me I didn't screw my scoot up. It's an 02 RK just over 20k on it. Stock Stage one 88 inch motor, new cam tensioners this spring. I know oil is oil and I didn't add much just concerned there might be an additive in the Formula+ that might corrode the inside of my scoot.
You probably didn't damage anything with less than 1/2 a quart but I'd do an oil and filter change to be safe.. From what I know Formula+ is about equivalent to a straight 50 weight in engine oil FWIW
I did the oil and filter. Just don't want to wonder about each squeak or tick I hear now. I will probably calm down and not fret about 3 thousand miles from now.
The Harley motor is not as delicate as some people think they are. You can run just about any oil made and it will keep on truckin. Any oil is better then no oil. I wouldn't give it a second thought.,,
It's just 50 weight oil. I certainly wouldn't run a crankcase full of it, but putting a little bit in there by mistake is no big deal at all. I honestly wouldn't even worry about changing the oil until your next regular change.

Don't worry about the additives in Formula+ as it has the weakest additive package on the market. What you did was dilute the additives in your existing oil. No harm done to your engine.
