IMHO

Buy good quality oil, and add nothing to it. Try and avoid mixing oils if possible.

Why I hear you say...............

Well the oil companies are some of the most wealthy and powerful orginaziations in the world. They employ highly quallified chemical engineers to produce oils that try and out perform their competitors. Now with their huge finacial resources which dwarf the additive companies, I suspect if there was a way to improve their products, they would do it.

Many of these super addetives are just heavyweight oil as a base with at best a combination of addetives which is already in your oil, and at worst solid particles like teflon which block your oilways, or chlorinated parrafins, which can cause some metals in our engines to become brittle.

Ok so lets say that we get lucky and get an addetive that contain more of the addetive package that is already in our quality oil. After all more is better isnt it????

Well no actually, since some of the addetives in our package are designed to work together in harmony, and increasing one or even adding a different addetive can reduce the effectiveness of the package as a whole. Think of it like this, if you have a cake mix that contains 3 eggs as part of the ingrediants, and it produces the best cake in the world, adding another 3 eggs wont make the cake any better, it will actually upset the balance of ingrediants and produces an awful cake.

Spend those extra dollars that get wasted on oil addetives in getting a quality oil.

Of course do what you wish, but the day I add something to my oil, its going to get mighty cold in hell.

Lubro Moly is produced in Germany. ( Liqui Moly) The company has an outstanding reputation. Besides the MOS2 Additive they do make fine motorcycle oils, Gear Lube, Etc.
Go to their Website. BMW,VW, and Mercedes has OK their Oils. Lubro Moly 4601 ( 5w-30 even is GM Dexos certified) I have it currently in all 3 holes in my 2006 FXD. ( less than 1 ounce in the Primary No Slippage of Clutch.) 2 ounces per quart in engine and transmission. 56 MPG at 70 MPH in sixth gear consistantly. Speed limit is 70 on our turnpike. 54 MPG at 65 MPH. I use it in all my vehicles.

Wait, your running 5w30 wt oil in your motor, trans, and primary? Then adding some thing to make your clutch oil slipperier? My buddy's Sportster 883 only got 50 mpg at best. And he weighs 145 lbs. The only way I see you getting that mileage is to have 50 lbs of air in your tires, and you weigh in under 100 lbs.,,

20w-50 in the Harley and 5w-30 in my car and truck. Quieter motor and better fuel milage. Two hundred miles was when the milage improved. ( heat, plate, and burnishing of moly to hotter parts.) I would say the valve train and pistons were positivly affected.
