Not me but everytime I here the word Panama I think about how a buddie of mine wants to ride from Canada to Panama. Would be a trip to remember but not sure its do-able.
Oh Ya, it's doable. While I was stationed there I met a car load of guys that had stopped for a break. They were college students from PA that drove there while on summer vacation. They said it was a pretty good drive. The only place they had problems was in Mexico.
Yea, I was stationed there, bought a house and visit every year. I plan to retire there when the time comes. As for riding there, I would be more worried about traveling through Honduras (been there) and Nicaragua than Mexico. These Central American gangs are out of control! If you don't speak Spanish.....forget about it. If you had enough people, it would be a great ride with an even better pay-off once you reached Panama.
I haven't been there since 1992. Do you have any resent pics? I'd love to go back for a little vacation. Next time you go maybe I could get you to pick up a Harley T-shirt for me. I really miss Panama. Had a lot of good times there.
I really don't have any of the city or anything you would recognize. Just some of my house. It will be a while (probably Dec) before I get back. What size do you wear? I'll have my wife's sister pick you one up. As for the vacation, you would have a great time.
I wear a large. Let me know how much you need and I'll pay you for everything. Thanks alot. The wife wants Mexico and I want Panama. I guess we go to Mexico first, then Panama the next year. Thanks again.

If you wear a large, then I better get an XL. Based on my experience of buying clothes there, they run a bit small, and they probably use 100% cotton (which will shreink) (did I spell shreink right??). I will send my sister-in-law an e-mail right now. What address should I send it to?
Where were you stationed and what organization were you assigned to? I am an AF MP (Security Police back then) but I worked out of the Army CID office over on Corozal. That's where the PanamaJack Drug Team was and I was a criminal investigator working on the drug team. Needless to say, we stayed pretty busy. Now I am stationed in Belgium at our European HQ.
I was stationed at FT. Clayton with the 534th MP CO before, during, and after the invation. I was transfered the HHC LEA after that were I worked contraband control. I had the time of my life there. My middle son was born at gorgas. He claims Panama is his second citizenship. He's really proud to have been born there. Thanks for your help, Brian
Statione at Ft.Kobbe, close to Howard AFB,pacific side.Ft.Sherman for JOTC(jungle operations training center) .Spent a lot of time at Kobbe Beach and Taboga Island ,which could be seen from Kobbe Beach.Bought my first Triumph Bonneville 650 there and saw all of the country on it. I was 17 and had a ball. This was in '69 and things there were pretty calm except for riots downtown occasionally. Also hung around Balboa with the civilian.US Gov.babes.Back then if you were caught with hooch, you spent time in jail with no hope of getting out...Even the military couldnet get to you.The La Guardia were staioned on top of all the main builldings and banks with machine guns..Got to see Manuel Noriega once toting his Thompson .45 around town.We would ride the Chiva buses around town. They had flashing christmas lights in and on them and sidewalks were as good as the the streets. The dingle ***** and 3-D pictures of Jesus and The Virgin Mary with moving eyes were in all the buses on the dashboards. The beaches there were beautiful, especially on the Pacific side. There was a lepur colony just up from Kobbe Beach that was interesting. We had San Blas indian tribes close by also ....then the party was over.I turned 18,finished JOTC and off to Nam.I have always wanted to go back.Check some websites out. There are literally hundreds,.
