Good luck had to go thru same kind of mistake with wife's MB oh boy took couple months and had to spend couple hundreds of my money to correct their stupidity.
Just got off the phone with the finance manager at the dealer, they are talking to their people today. If I don't get a response today I'm going to go there in person tomorrow. They simply need to contact DMV and submit the appropriate paperwork to resolve the issue, and if they don't do that immediately I will be in their dealer every single day until it is done. I will also be tracking my time and mileage, as well as any expenses, and if they don't get this done they can expect me to be taking them to court for their mistakes, and being sued to compensate for my time and legal expenses.
That's only if they don't get it done, but I will be that guy if they don't. I'm not getting screwed by these people.
So registration was $240 for the renewal. I was able to pay it at DMV, but still have to jump through some hoops. I have my Statement of Fact, a Statement of Fact from the former owner of the dealership, and the sales documents. The former owner of the dealer is requesting the title from finance, and their staffer will bring that to DMV, and at that time I'll get the sticker.
So it's $444 less than originally quoted, and right in line with what I expected. Now we wait for the title so I can finish this off once and for all.
All of this BS because they valued my bike at $93,000.
California renewal coming up for my 2017 Limited at $254.
At least it dropped a whopping $10.00 from last year.
Something has to be wrong in the calculation on your bike.
My reg fee is $82 and the license fee is $163. Plus $9.00 for county/district fee.
Your license fee is way off. Especially on a bike with a price of about $18,000.
Yeah somethings way off with that my 17 RK is going to be $278 due in Jan 18 so they will jump it up again, frigging armed robbery.

I have the 17 FXDLS in my signature, and just got my first registration renewal. $684 for ONE YEAR???
Any of you have new HD's and are paying unreasonable registration? DMV is stonewalling me on why it's so high. Here's the breakdown:
Registration Fee- 42
License Fee- 549
Weight Fee- 0
Special Plate Fee- 42 (I have a personalized tag)
County/District Fees- 10
Owner Responsibility Fee- 0
That's $684. My 15 Subaru didn't cost that much the first year, and the second is up right now for $412. For reference, my 99 Sporty was $118 last year.
What are you paying a year, and what do you ride? If everyone else with a 16/17 HD is paying this much then I'm going to suck it up and pay, but if this is irregular I'm going to have to start dealing with Sacramento.
I bought an `09 used car from a dealer 3 months ago (it had 31K miles), and my tags, title and tax cost me $584. So, Cali doesn`t have anything on Oklahoma.

Guess they overcharged me a lot on the initial registration as well, so now I'm going to be getting a refund, likely enough to cover this years registration entirely. That is IF they can figure out how to fix it, and do it properly without running me around.
I wonder what kind of BS to cause this to be so out of wack...
The responsibility should fall upon HD finance to make it right. Did you happen to discuss getting HD finance to make it right by taking care of the refund?
