We got rooms in Needles a week ago for a bill a night. What the hell I have not been to Needles before. We stayed in Kingman last year but they are sold out already..
needles is a small town. good to sleep and gas up. nothing much to see there. the ride into laughling is ok. a few pot holes here and there, but nothing to crazy. just watch out for the 4 wheelers. 4 a single lane road traffic is nt terrible till you start getting into laughlin. i think its the wagon wheel. the restaurant there in needles. really good breakfast. ive been going there for yrs. good food. considering how packed it gets, service isnt bad. better than spending 5 bucks for a soda out there on the strip
I'm running down in the morning and home at night. It's just a little over an hour to my house in Henderson so why pay the $ for a room? Plus, the ride home is a good way to clear out my head after all the crowds down there.
Depends on where in Vegas you are staying but pick up 95 south. If you're on the strip take 215 east to 95/515 south towards Boulder City. Don't go all thwe way into Boulder City, take the95 south turn off before town. Stay on 95 to 163 east. The sign will say Laughlin. From Henderson to the 163 turn off is pretty straight and flat. 163 to laughlin goes through the mountains and is a nice ride. It will take you right into Laughlin. You probably won't run into too much traffic until you get close to town.
Once you turn S on 95 just outside of Vegas it's a really nice divided 4-lane, but watch your speeds. Once you ride through Searchlight, it narrows to a two-lane with an occasional third passing lane. They patrol this stretch heavily and a lot of riders that presume to be bad-asses make bad decisions about passing or just get impatient.

Good point! Make sure you go 25 MPH through Searchlight! There are a bunch of these little pizzant towns in NV and they all have 25 MPH speedlimits and they do enforce them.
