RE: Laughlin river run 2008
Oatman is kind of a fun place.....except at River Run time. Sunday would probably be OK, Thursday, Friday, or Saturdayis kind of a disaster. 2 lane road with 10 zillion motorcycles, cars, and burros. VERY limited parking. We go, but we have a house in Bullhead City, and take the Quads there 'the hard way'. The bar and restaurant at Topac is kind of a good place, also you can run into Lake Havasu and see London Bridge. We usually go there to Bob's for a Big Boy Burger. It is about 85 miles to Las Vegas, Boulder Dam, and Henderson Nv.
It seems like laughlin is getting more strict every year. kind of sucks. they even cancelled the wet t shirt contest last year. any idea if there is 1 this year? even the bikini bullridin has been toned down. they should call it t-shirt and jeans bullriding.
Laughlin is just plain lame any more. My first laughlin was in 96, and it kicked *** back then, burn out contests, nudity, drinkin, and fun lovin good times!! now its just abig fund raiser for nhp and ahp.
I agree with jagerviking. Nothing but a yuppie fashion show and fund raiser for law inforcement. I have not gone for years. Last time I was there they were arresting girls for showing tt's, old cougers complaining about drunk checks dancing on table. just another Wild Hogs event to be avoided.
I think its still there. just hidden a bit. you cant have 50,000 bikers and no wet t shirts or flashing going on. it is my mission fellas to find the spirit of what laughlin is supposed to be about! BEERS, BIKES & BABES!
I am heading out of Orange County on Thursday night and riding out across the desert at night I like it better than riding during the day and roasting plus you wake up in Laughlin on Friday. I am also Staying in Bullhead City which is just across the river from the Casinos If someone wanted to share and ride together im up for that my riding partner bailed due to work issues. P.M. me if your up for a thursday night ride and a Saturday night ride back to avoid about 8 to 10 hours of traffic on Sunday like some had last year.
I did this same thing last year and it was perfect cause theres little or no traffic either way.

RE: Laughlin river run 2008
We're leaving Tuesday afternoon or Wed morning, depending on Dr. appointments.
I agree, the old Laughlin is still there, just hiding a bit. Got a little 'conservative' after the HA/Mongol thing. Saw lots of T and A last year, a 'sweetie' ran out in front of me and flashed....me, wife, and the 2 cops behind us. No one was busted. Did see a jerk get popped for a burn out, in the middle of the street, and drunk as a skunk
Leaving from New Mexico to Laughlin tuesday afternoon, meeting up with my California crew, we're staying in Topock at a buddies place, I did the hotel thing in Laughlin the last 6 years, I just couldnt see paying the high room rates this year.
See you and a couple thousand plus bikers all there this weekend!
