Any good rides out of Laughlin? I have been to Oatman, Kingman, LHCand Route 66 to Seligman.. anything else? Thinking about heading to Valley of Fire from Laughlin and back..any thoughts? Thanks Dave
sorry man,i've just done the main strip and oatman. i go to see that hot girls w/little clothes and to enjoy the atmosphere of that many bikes in 1 area. never heard of that valley of fire. sounds cool. let me know, that may be something to check out.
Thanks for the replies.. Valley of Fire is near Vegas and I think heading there.. anyone been there? the ride to Seligman is pretty cool and I would reccomend it as well as riding through Oatman to Kingman HD.... Just need somthing new.. got the night life wired for Laughlin but need a few new rides for some people I am with.
I've heard of Valley of Fire, supposed to be good. There is also Red Rock Canyon west of Vegas and about 2:10 from Laughlin and Vof F about 1/2 hour farther. Last year it was hotter than blazes so it was nice to head east where it was cooler.
A great ride is to head over to Kingman and pick up old Route 66. Don't miss Hackberry on the way East towards Seligman. When you get to Seligman, stop by the Rusty Bolt and say hi to Bob and Karen and then head back. You can either go back via 66 or just ride US 40 back into Kingman and on into Laughlin. http://www.theroadwanderer.net/route66AZ.htm http://www.historic66.com/arizona/det-az4.html
Valley of the Fires is a nice ride through it and around lake Mead. The thing is, it's around 140 mi to get there from Laughlin and bout another 2 to 3 hour ride around the lake. Don't know what your time frame is. I wood prefer going south to Lake havasu and on to Parker. Closer and just as nice of a ride. Don't forget Oatman and Kingman.
There's a pretty good Mexican restaurant at one end of the London Bridge. As we were dining on the patio, we couldn't help but notice that there was some sort of a gathering going on at the hotel below us...upon closer we decided it was a wedding...and I felt it was necessary to take a high-idle detour on our way out of the parking lot. I can be a real dick sometimes!
We had a visit from the state constable. It's the one thing I REALLY hate about the Laughlin run!!!

RE: Laughlin Ride Ideas
Something to remember, 5 miles out of Laughlin in about any direction there is absolutely NOTHING! except at River Run time, then there are about 40,000 motorcycles doing exactly what you want to do. All the rides above are great, you just won't be alone.
