I'm planning a trip to Vegas and I want to go thru Death Valley. My wife rides an 06 Dyna so we are limited to about 190 miles per tank. Can anyone tell me if i'm going to be able to find gas stops that will alow us to make this ride?
You will have no problem. I just rode around the whole park two weeks ago. Depending on which route you take you can stop in Baker or Ridgecrest before you enter the park. There is gas in Furnace Creek, Stovepipe Wells, and other points along the route. You should not have any problem and you will LOVE the ride and scenery. BTW, make sure you stop at Badwater, it's a great place for a break and the view will knock your socks off.
Echoing the sentiments expressed above. Keep in mind that you will be held hostage at those gas stations inside the park. Expect to pay 70-80 cents/gallon higher than elsewhere.
This is definitely the time of year to see Death Valley (as opposed to August)!!!
++to the above, only thing is that the pumps at scotty's castle are temp. out of service. So don't count that as a gas stop. All others are open and as said above this is the perfect time to visit. Have a grfeat time.

one small caution, Stovepipe only sold 89 octane IIRC. I ran a half tank with no ill effects in my stock 08 flhrc. Ran the whole park with a buddy on his sporty w/o a worry about fuel.
If you have time take the run to Dante's View. Kind of a fun ride, and you end up about 5700 feet above Badwater. Great view of DV from up there!!
that is a disadvantage about Stovepipe Wells, only 89 octane
Scotty's used to have 89 also, but I heard their pump is down but in actual mileage -- gas is not a concern
in the winter months, I only run 89 octane in my Eglide
Scottys gas has been out for awhile. There is 24/7 pumps at furnace creek just a little higher. You gotta see Dantes peak. Badwater Basin and Ubehebe Crater just be aware it gets windy at the crater at the top. Scotty's Castle is also worth a stop.
