I was looking today at the LRR site. The room packages seem to be cheaper this year. I have stayed in Kingman last three years. Last year with the wind the ride back and forth was not as enjoyable as the previous years. Thinkin I might just quit being cheap and get a room in Laughlin.
Notice the room rates in Kingman have gone up!!! Not such a bargain anymore, they caught on.
But, it is kinda neat going to the " Dam Bar & Steak House", hanging out at MotherRoad and that quaint little bikerbar down the street.
But I got to tell ya Kingman is home to some of the fugliest women ever. Scary!!
I also noticed the " lack of entertainment this year" Sure Charlie Daniels is there, which is kinda different, but Eric Burden and the Animals. Even I at 55 wonder which cemetary they were dug up at. I mean who is booking these acts.
Las Vegas booked nobody last year and Laughlin is following. Probably due to the anticipated drop in revenue, but those name bands aren't gonna help much. I may be wrong though.
The covention bureau thinks they are expecting an approximate 30 to 40% decline in bikers for this years River Run. Last year each of the hotels were holing approx 100 to 200 rooms and all were unable to sell out (alledgedly). I would anticipate the same for this year. I for one am holding out on getting rooms until the week of the event. If all alse fails then I'll be staying at a buddy's in Havasu (which I do yearly).
talking from spokane washington, where we got a lashing of snow this year! the left over snow looks like little glaciers everywhere! glad to get back to laughlin in the sun and fun! 16th year and adding! anyone from
spokane heading down? 82 DAYS!

RLMAO! Wife and I are in Kingman now house-hunting. Some of the homes are as fugley as the locals too! (hoping we have better luck today)
Can't wait to attend our first LRR! BTW.......is it always windy in Bullhead? We were there yesterday thinking it might be a better place to buy and then commute, but man was the wind stout yesterday.
Hope everyone has a great time at the river run! We on the other hand won't be there, that run has gone downhill over the last few years. I have recieved a ticket the last 3 years from either n.h.p, metro, or a.h.p for some of the craziest things. My first river run was in 96, the place was packed, alot of fun and laid back. Last year, we were on the main street at 2 a.m. and the place was a ghost town!!!!

Didn't you post last year saying the same thing? That you weren't going?
