I'll be moving to Vegas next year and I see the laws for apes are nothing above the riders shoulder. Are they super strict on this? I want to put 14" Pist Apes on my WG when I get there and that will probably be close or a little over. TIA!

I know several locals with very tall apes and as far as I know none of them have received a ticket (or if they have they are still riding with them and didn't mention anything). I heard one year at the Laughlin River Run that riders were getting pulled over and ticketed, but it's my understanding that it was on the nearby Arizona side. I stayed on the Nevada side that year. Of course, this doesn't mean that a LEO may not use too "high" of apes as an excuse to pull you over. However, I can't tell you about enforcement at Nellis AFB since most military personnel and/or retirees I know are either riding sport bikes or don't have very high apes.
Sit up straight when you see an LEO and you will be fine. I have 18" on my Heritage and have never had an issue driving in southern Nevada (maybe 2-3" above shoulders). SJ Ron
