logged into Harleys tech website and didn't see any bulletin whatsoever. I've had coolant issues from the getgo

Sounds like more of a software glitch. Man can that guy talk.
Went to put a deposit on an incoming PA today. Sales rep was great. She said she doesn't usually push Ex Warranty, but you know this is a first year model, LOL.
Was going to get tire and wheel anyway, so just might pick up a 1 year extension.

Hoping by the two year mark Harley has found solutions to the bugs or aftermarket has stepped up with solutions. Harley should issue actual recalls on things like the battery charging issue and not leave it up to people discovering solutions on the internet. Its obviously and problem AND they have a fix for it.... why isn't Harley doing an actual recall for it? Hope they do better on the next major malfunction that affects every bike...

Please note that some of us current (and previous) M8 owners went through the same thing.

These minor non performance effecting glitches don't warrant a recall. They will be corrected with software updates done at service intervals at H-D dealers. If you aren't getting your bikes serviced at a dealer follow the forums and when you see there is an update bring your bike in while it's under warranty for the updates.
Software updates are just part of our new life's.

How often does Microsoft and every other program you use send updates? Same of car manufacturers and everything else that runs on computers.

Depends on severity and safety -- I don't expect a recall for every little glitch but if it makes bikes inoperable, such as battery not charging, then it does warrant a notice to customers that they need to get their bikes serviced. It is understandable for these things to happen with new models but that doesn't absolve Harley of responsibility to get the word out.
