How well does that Beemer stuff vent? I'm looking for a jacket and pants for my July 2023 Texas to Alaska trip (I'm sure you saw my post on advrider)
I have the older R3 set. The outer shells aren't waterproof; there's a liner for jacket and pants. I wore that suit when I went out west in 2012. It was 115 degrees when we went from Kansas into Colorado, and I was as comfortable as one can be in that kind of heat.
I wore the suit in 2014 on my CVO Ultra when I went to Eureka Springs, and even behind a Batwing it was comfortable. It's not cheap, but it's the best suit I own.
Totally agree. Rallye 3 is one of the best suite for adventure riding. But new Rallye Pro suit is better than R3. (zip-lines for connecting jacket and trousers is more convenient).
Did those boots get damaged by the 80 grit shift peg or the stock peg? If it got damaged like that on the OEM rubber peg that is some super weak sauce!

I have had them for over a year and they work well, not a drop of water in the boots and stays warm (sometimes a bit too hot). I got my pair for $150, I don't know why Revzilla is advertising them for $280 now. . .
It's hard to tell from the OP's pictures, but it looks like that scuff mark is on the outside of the boot. I can't imagine how the shifter peg gets out there if that is the case. Anyway, I have been using Forma Adventure Low boots on my GSAs for the past three years with nary a mark.

It's on the inside of the left boot. Shifter is on left side.
Well, I ordered a Klim Baja S4 suit for summer riding. The Carlsbad I have is no-go above 90 or so. Heat index is supposed to be 110 this weekend, so we'll see how it does.
As much as I love my R3 suit, I do feel a bit silly wearing BMW gear.

I've been eyeing that exact suit along with the Enduro for the rainy days but it seems a tad overkill for what I'll be doing, not to mention pricey.
I keep going back to the Dainese D-Explorer 2 even though I'd much rather have an outer rain/gore-tex layer but that D-Explorer would cover 90% of my riding.
