As would be expected, less buffet on the torso. The day I rode it, there was quite a crosswind. Fairing is solid, no movement in the mounting. The windshield I have on it is short, mainly because I like the looks of it. So while there is no major buffeting, there is some windnoise. I'm looking probably 6" over it. The helmet I wear is loud anyway. I may go ahead and order the taller windshield to see how it works out. I've only ridden the thing for about an hour, due to weather and work. Looking at the new Low Rider ST, I'll bet there is significant windnoise with the size of the shield also. Would I recommend someone else going to the trouble to install a fairing like this? Can't answer that. It was a pretty good undertaking. Should Wedge Fairing decide to offer prebuilt mounts, that would make it a whole lot easier. But so far for me, I would do it again.

Thanks for the report. Any noticeable handling difference in curves and general riding? I really like your project and the application of a fairing on a PA for touring.

Curious if you’re Beta testing?
With the limited ride time, I can't tell any difference in handling from the stock bike. I only rode it for an hour because I needed to check my mounts to make sure they were secure. We are currently getting ice, so may be several days before I can ride it again. Not beta testing for anyone. In person, I think it really looks good. But that's my opinion.

Have the bike here at work. Since I can't ride today, I'll make a bracket for the header heat shield, that will hose clamp on. May or may not file a warranty claim on that.
Great job. First saw the profile pic and thought, who makes that bike...forgot about the PA. Lol Only critique I would have with the fairing is I'd like the yellow lights to be moved up on the fairing about 6" vs being on the lower side of the curve.
Thanks again for the update and photos. The fairing looks great and yes it may require some tweaking for the final desired end results with respect to buffeting and rain-wind protection. Worth the effort in trying.
From my perspective as a long time HD owner , long rider, sport rider enthusiast you are going down the right path. The fairing idea on the PA sport-tourer is just awesome 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I like the idea of a BMW-GSA type bike with a fairing for long distance touring. Good job!!

You'd have to talk to the people that make the fairing. That's the only location offered due to how it's made.
