My Cardo black pairs to the bike with no issue, however it does have to be reconnected quite often. IO have lost connectivity too it just stopping to fuel up. Rather annoying.

Sena has mesh issues. just cuts off with no warning, usually will restart if I turn it off and reconnect. sometimes I have to go to the phone list and re-pick it. no one else's in the group does this so I'm thinking has to be the bike. Sena replaced mine and it still does it.
unfortunately no, but I have noticed the HD app opens every-time I run my bike. Let me try disabling that and see if there is some sort of interference.
Thanks!
THIS! Runs constantly in the background, drains iPhone battery. Have to restart the phone.
Problem is if you go in phone settings to not let the HD app run in the background, it doesn't work after that.
I killed the HD app on my Iphone which initially seemed to make my issues better, but after a longer ride it was back to disconnecting every 1-2 seconds.
I tried a friends old android phone and it worked fine on my quick trip around the block. Out of frustration I decided to switch from my iPhone 13 to a Samsung S22 in hopes that all my issues would be fixed. While it seems to disconnect/stutter less frequently than the iphone I still have issues with a random skip/stutter 3-4x a minute. I opened a support ticket with Sena, hopefully they have some insight.
I also spoke with Lexin today and they said there is a update from Harley that one of their customers has stated fixes the volume issue I was having with their system. I'm going to call the dealer tomorrow to see if there is an update, but according the HD support site I have the latest firmware for the bike.
Is it wrong that this is so broken and unreliable that I've completely and utterly forgot my bike had media controls all this time?
Same here...I may have spent a total of 5-10 minutes goofing off with the PAS built-in Bluetooth crap. I now connect my SENA directly to my phone and Garmin XT...problem solved.
Weird. All Bluetooth functions work perfectly for me. I don't use the H-D App ever, but the last time I tried the built in Nav/App, that actually worked. Though, I don't like the H-D app nav even a little bit, I just use Google Maps, Apple Maps, Waze, Rever. My phone is mounted on a Wireless charging Quad Lock mount where I can see it easily. But I connect my phone to the bike and the headset to the bike, no drop-outs and controls work perfectly. I just have to remember to press the talk button on the right switch pack to invoke Siri for voice commands rather than speaking "Hey Siri". On my other bikes I don't have any integration so it's just Headset and Phone at work.
I have a Shoei Neotec 2 with a Cardio Packtalk Black unit. I have the same issue with the audio cutting out. When I pair the unit directly to my iPhone 13 Pro Max, I can walk about 15-20 feet away from my phone with no issues at all. When I pair phone and unit to the Pan America, I constantly lose audio. I've tried repositioning my unit on my helmet, swapping the pairing order of the unit. IE: Phone first and bike 2nd, Bike 1st and Phone 2nd, Nothing seems to be working. I spoke with Harley service department and asked if there was an update for the Infotainment system and the response was no. Nor was there anything they could do for me in regards to addressing the issue. Going back to cyclegear tomorrow to see if maybe the unit I have is just faulty. I hope that I'm still within my 30 days return window.

Update: I just returned from cycle gear and tested out another PackTalk unit and it worked perfectly. Cycle Gear has placed an order to replace my unit. Excellent CS at the Lawrenceville, GA location.
After trying three head units, and two phones I finally have a combination that works!
Cardo Pactalk Black and Samsung S22 Ultra. A buddy of mine suggested I try the Cardo. With the great prices Amazon has on them I decided to just give it a try, knowing if it didn't work I could easily return it. The speaker quality is better than both the SENA And Lexin(SENA being the worst of the three), and the auto leveling volume works fantastic on the highway. I made a brief call to my wife while going 80 on the highway and she could barely tell I was on the bike. The Lexin worked really well for calls as well, only not when connected to the bike. The SENA was terrible connected to the bike or directly to my phone making calls/communication on the highway useless.
I really wanted the Lexin G16 units to work ... For the price they are great quality and I love the USB C charging, but unfortunately they don't pair well with the bike.
I still have the SENA because cycle gear is giving me hell about returning it, and haven't heard back from Lexin about returning the pair I initially purchased but I am thrilled to finally have something that works well. Overall I spent way too much money to make something so simple work, but it makes the ride so much more enjoyable. I can't wait for the next ride with my wife where we can actually communicate without dropping below 30mph.
